Andy next to Aloe 'HEDGEHOG' grown at Malanseuns Wholesale Nursery

The vision for this complete, professional enviroscaping service was developed by a man with a passion for plants and the great South African outdoors. Andy de Wet founded the company in 1985 after graduating with a masters degree in botany, and working as a nursery manager for three years.

Andy is one of the pioneers in his field who brought to water feature building a reliability that previously was unavailable. A similar robustness applies to the other De Wet divisions subsequently formed.

The water feature section was the first initiative and the company soon became a leader in this field, with most of its direct competitors copying the construction and design methods de Wet developed. More and more clients asked Andy to landscape their gardens after seeing his water features; thus the landscaping division came into being.

Andy soon decided to create his own nursery, as a reliable source of high quality plants at affordable prices, this became the next important consideration.

Necessity being the mother of invention, he soon decided to create his own nursery and CND Nursery (Central Nursery Depot) in Linbro Park quickly established itself as the most reliable landscapers plant depot in Gauteng. CND now own their own growing farm (called THE ALOE FARM) that ensures top quality at the best prices.

Koi and fish ponds, as well as nature swimming pools were a natural progression in the water features division. Irrigation systems then became important and was added to the landscaping division.

The breeding of new plant varieties has always been Andy’s passion and although it started off as a hobby in 1972, his successes soon slowly but steadily made it apparent that this would also become a powerful division in the group. Several of his plants are now extensively used in the industry, with the likes of aloe ‘Hedgehog’ becoming a household name.

Today, each of De Wet Enviroscaping's services is headed by an expert and each functions as a separate business entity, complimenting the others. Situated at the centrally positioned premises in Linbro Park, the close interlinking and simultaneous integration of the various services allows De Wet Enviroscaping the ability to totally transform virgin land into a self-watering dreamscape. Alternatively, specialised projects can be handled with ease by the relevant departments.

The combination of all these services provides both residential and commercial clients with The Complete Enviroscaping Company.
